About Us
We are a special alpaca farm, in that we only have "fiber males" for sale and do not breed. Our boys come in a variety of colors but they all have great personalities and wonderful fiber.Our family has raised horses and geese and ducks for many years but we have always been intrigued by Alpacas. We gave a great deal of thought as to what we felt our focus would be with these wonderful creatures and we decided that it should be pets.
We then went out to find two animals that we felt were right for us. It became apparent to us immediately that to be affordable, male alpacas are the best way to go when looking for pets. Our first two boys consisted of a young intact male along with an older gelded male. These two boys became fast friends after being separated from the large herds they were kept in and slowly became used to being haltered, handled and taken for walks.
We feel that there are many people who would enjoy what these animals can bring to their lives but only have limited space or time. When considering alpacas as pets you will find that they can fit into your lifestyle easily and the enjoyment received in being in their company is immeasurable.
We recommend that someone considering the purchase of alpacas as pets find a way to purchase two animals in the beginning to enable them to be able to focus on just their two boys and get to know them as individuals. Alpacas will get lonely if kept alone but enjoy the company of another alpaca during the time they are not spending with you.
